Featured Any idea what this bullseye agate piece was used for?

  1. You all were so helpful with my 15K coral ring, I thought I'd try you on this sterling vermeil bullseye agate piece. The lady who sold the lot said she thought it was a collar stud, which makes sense, but I've never seen one with this crescent cut-out. Obviously there for a reason. Nothing seems broken off or missing, so it has me stumped.

  4. One more thing Maja, what would the crescent notch be there for?

the crescent exists in different shapes. The one here is pretty small and my guess is that it was put on using a button hook.
