    It is a replica of a pre-Columbian Maya stela or other Maya stone carving. The Maya still live in Central America, but the original of this would probably be Classic Maya Culture, c. 250-900 AD.

    Hey it seems like a stone. the carvings are made from a green like stone. any jewelry what sort of material are the original mayan stelaes are made of?

    Yours looks like my little Maya souvenir. A composite of multi-coloured stone grit and probably resin, made in a mold:

    Pen for size. I had it at the bottom first, but it looked like he was looking for his pen.:)

    Hey the original ones looks so huge. and must be really expensive? But the carvings looks so stunning. Yes truly the one i posted is a replica!!!

    They are monuments, and protected. If you ever find one for sale, it could very well be stolen. The illegal ones are usually just parts of stelae, mostly heads taken by unscrupulous criminals who didn't mind damaging beautiful monuments.
