    Agree. It could have been attached to anything, I have even seen them on the end of a bookmarker, and on a ribbon for needles and pins.

    Holes in base are to sew the half doll to a pincushion base or sometimes used for top of whisk brush.

    It may turn out to be Schneider, but it's a different doll, they don't show the marks, and the seller says, "I believe." Hmph.
