This piece was once a display piece at Churches English Shoes on 5th Street in New York City. Its roughly 10 feet high and comes in 4 pieces. It it is very good condition. Anybody have any thoughts on the price of a piece like this and if this would be a piece people would be interested in?

The decoration is newer/nostalgic so I guess the piece is also newer? I am sure someone would want it but it is such a one-of-a-kind piece that it is hard saying what it is worth. The large size also limits its use/desirability. It is the kind of thing one fishes with a price they are comfortable with to see if they get any bites. If not, the price can always be lowered.

I agree with Brad, its hard to say.

    At auction it could bring $200, $400, $600, $800..
Just depends on whos there and who wants it and can/is willing to accommodate something so large

    Play companies?
Re-creators of Dickens or Sherlock Holmes?

I would think there is a market, but it may be difficult to find the right people.

Are you sure about Church's address? The brand has always been on Madison Avenue, to the best of my knowledge. And 5th Street is in the East Village, an unlikely address for a luxury brand. Perhaps you're thinking of 5th Avenue?
