Any ideas on stones in this necklace

    Hello and wishing all the moms a very happy Mother,s day. found this necklace hiding away in a box, am wondering what the stones are,It is heavy, and knotted between each stone, strung on thread, there is variation in the colours and some are 2 toned, ,also the clasp is interesting, ,looks like gold, has a mark on back of clasp which might be 181? thank you for any insights, IMG_2499.JPG IMG_2499.JPG

    If I had to guess I would say Carnelian is the stone. They MIGHT be amber. That is judging them by the unsharp edges of the facets and the black spots in them.
