ANY INFO ON MEXICO(?) CARVED MASK MADE FROM VERY LIGHT WOOD?

    I found this in my local thrift store yesterday. I think it may be a Mexican festival mask except the wood is very light & made me think it may be from somewhere else - so I came here for help!
    It seems like it has some age to it

    Hum... Until someone more knowledgable comes along... Looks like a Moros y Cristianos mask.

    The lightweight wood is normal on Mexican masks like these.

    It looks more Asian to me....There are what appears to be Chinese or Japanese Character on the back, and the eyes are more almond than round.
