Any info on this 1958 ring? NASA? Sci Fi? Cereal Premium?

    I found this ring in a box of old foreign coins while cleaning my dresser top. I don't remember where I got it but I also have a small bag of cereal premium rings (Davy Crockett, Buck Rogers, etc), so I was wondering if that's where it's from - and if so what show/character does it represent?
