There seems to be a B M Stewart with a couple of things on the web.
A pair of watercolours, B M Stewart, country lane, and woodland, each signed, 19 x 28cm, plus (1818auctioneers.co.uk)
Nothing about the artist though.

 

Charming. And what a pretty hand. I would expect the work of a talented amatuer.

It looks like Avignon, in Provence, southern France. A view from the Rhone, with the bridge that Jesus helped to build. The Papal palace in the distance, used during the pope's years of exile from Rome.

I agree with Debora, a charming amateur work.

Yes, you have many, and it is wonderful to have so many. Provence has many too, not Norman though.
