Any information about this figurine appreciated.

dont know too much about this ,I think it is terracotta, wondering if it is French only because of name imprinted on bottom, Have no idea of age, All and any ideas appreciated, thank you all

It looks like a lute, but if it is, I don't know that it's supposed to have that hole under the strings (?) (I am no musician!)

The terracotta made me think Italy, but honestly, that's just a guess.

Is what I've highlighted below the "imprint" you've mentioned? Can you read it at all on the figurine itself?

 

It is probably a type of mandolin, they come in different shapes and some have a central hole.
The girl's dress with that bodice looks Italian, add a mandolin, and I say Italy.

 

I really like the colors... so rich and old-looking.
And her face, hands and feet are really pretty!
