These came In a box with photo albums of old photographs & I first thought these were prints, but looking at them through a magnifying glass I saw that these are actual paintings!

Another mistake I think I made is I thought they may be a couple (my first thought was a royal couple!), but each has a different artist's signature?

Can anyone tell me anything about these? Any idea who they are?
    When they are from?
And as great as the paintings are, the frames are incredible - I've never seen anything like them!

Any help with these would be greatly appreciated- thank you!

I also think Czech. Unfortunately the lady has lost substantial parts of the inlay, those won't be easy to replace. The gent has lost one cab, a similar one can probably be found.
In spite of the loss, I think there will be interest in these wonderfully ott frames, but you have to take the loss into account.

Frames definitely worth more than the paintings. I sold one of these very similar ...also missing a few cabs. If memory serves, mine sold for around $75 in an Ebay auction, so I think $200 for the pair was a reasonable price both for you and the buyer.
