Hope this is the right thread ... although, I'm thinking this could even be a display promo shop item for wool???

I can't google up anything similar. Had a little joke with myself - she has a 'face like a sack'. Well, instead of plastic or wood, it is a very dainty object, body/face indeed some kind of sack/hemp, and rest woven of wool. Lovely thing, and looks/feels very old. As you can see all in the pics hopefully. Trying to get a better grip on what it is before I go listing it for sale anywhere ...

 

VbN, I have to wonder if this might not be someone's craft project(?).

I would call it a "wrapped yarn" doll with a "stockinette face", but I'm not certain what you'll find that might be similar.

 

Agree with SBSVC that it is most likely a home project.

She looks like she was made to cover something.....perhaps a tube of lipstick on the vanity?

To cover an ugly perfume bottle?

How tall is she?
