Any thoughts on these bells

Hello everyone I purchased these bells from a very elderly woman for 2 dollars she said she had them for over 40 years and didn't know anything about them so I was wondering if anyone might have thoughts on them if they are old are they African ???? Thanks for any info. Matt. She said she stored them in a plastic baggy because she was scared of them she thought they might be bad luck

 

They look south american to me rather than african - no idea on how to date them - could be old - could be made to look old - I'm not knowledgeable enough to say which.

 

Thanks for your reply aaroncab I was thinking they are a monkey and a hyena that's why I thought Africa because of the hyena or what ever it is thanks again.
