Trying to see if anybody can help me identify this object it came to me with a bunch of silver-plated items however this is not silver plated I did an acid test and the results were that it is solid silver

It would be a very very small planter the 3 holder spots measure 2.5 inches across each. But it's possible.

Normally I would agree with you however my acid test solution turns almost pure dull Gray when applied to zinc the reaction I got from the peace however was red and then clear.

I don't know if this helps or not but the item only stands 9 inches tall.

To me it looks like a condiment holder thingy (I am not one of the silver people) -- maybe it's been in a fire?

    Hi,
Look like a bar item. Might have had three glass bowls with olives, lemons and cherries for mixing drinks. If it was in a fire it would be black and not gray.

Have you checked every nook and cranny for marks?

The face and decoration on sides of bowls may give a hint. Can you give some detailed photos, please?

Desperately needs to be cleaned. Marks may emerge in that process.

BTW, I don't know what kind of acid test you did, but you would have needed to make a pretty deep gouge somewhere to be certain that it's solid and not plated. The plating on silver plate is sterling and not getting past the plating will give you a false result.

It really does look like white metal, but who knows. I'd do a scratch test with 18k acid. Silver, or good plate, will curdle up and turn white when hit with the 18 karat acid. Pewter and white metal just dissolve. Some others just sit there.

What actually did we get "figured out"????... I still don't know what it's made of, or if it's plated, or if there are any marks on it ... didn't the poster like the answers he was getting ??? .. SHEESH ... Joy.

Looks like pewter, to me. I also use 18K gold acid to test silver. Turns bright blue/white for high silver content. Scratch deep or rub hard on bottom of a foot or other inconspicuous place to get through plating.

I would have called it a cruet stand, minus the glass jars.
