Featured Anyone ever heard of William Morris?

    i was told that it would be safe to attribute this chair to William Morris. Looks like a lot of his work. What do you think?

    The style is referred to as a "Sussex" chair and might have been manufactured by Morris & Co. but I believe the design is attributed to Ford Maddox Brown.

    I don’t see those chairs in the US so it could be what you think. And they may have modified the design some over the years. But there are differences between OP chair and those linked - notice front legs, arms, and arm supports. So could also be a later repro from a different company - esp since rush is in better shape than would be expected for a chair supposed to be that old.
