I found this at a local yard sale & had to get it! I thought it was the Lone Ranger but unless the artist never finished touching it up, the Lone Ranger is bald on top!
In fact he looks more like the comedian in the movie where he is a unfrozen agent looking for his 'mojo' and likes to 'shag' - the bad guy had a 'Mini Me'?
The other funny thing is the compartment for your pills actually has a "silver" bullet in it!
Any info before I list it would be a great help.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

I see that horse as seriously out of proportion, IMO. Personally, I think the 'pillbox' part is the nicest part......and you're right!!! I never saw a bald Lone ranger either!!!:smuggrin::smuggrin:

Could it be Phil Silvers - or is it Austin Powers?
Is this thing for real or did someone make it (it appears factory made, not home made) - I can't find another example (it couldn't have sold well; too childish/toy like for the pill box target market!)

It has been a bit of a trend for a while for some little trinket boxes to have something inside that relates to the exterior. There is a line of boxes called Harmony Kingdom that usually has little things inside that are often thought provoking and sometimes even seemingly unrelated without much studying.

The Harmony Kingdom boxes were very popular and shockingly expensive for modern resin pieces and spawned many copycats.

I think he looks a bit like Chevy Chase in way too.:joyful:

To be clear yours is not a Harmony Kingdom but I think it is an import from China somewhat in the style of HK boxes.

    trinket box

a pill box is usually much smaller and portable

seems to be a bunch abbreviating PHB - porcelain hinged box

There is a big collecting market for these novel items these days. The price range is low and easily accessible for many. I probably won't be alive when and if these every gain in value in the future!
