Anyone ever seen a stain glass-ish car dealer's sign?

I found this a few weeks ago while searching through a thrift store. I've never seen anything like it!
    Title says: SUPERIOR FORD MERCURY
Has anyone seen something like this?
It has brown paper stuck to it here & there - maybe from being packed too tight or too long? What's the best way to remove it - it doesn't come off easily! (what about soaking it in water?
    Hope you like it!

I would think that was bespoke for Thomas E. Jones. Perhaps done by a local crafts person.

Here are photos I found on my camera after I picked some of the paper off + put white paper behind it (made it stand out more - and made me notice the biblical quote in the bottom corner!)
Do you think this would sell to people who collect automotive signs?
    Thanks Debora

There were kits they used to sell that you could paint windows to look like stained glass.I think someone made this using that stuff.

I'll check to see if it's smooth like paint or has a bump or some type of texture.

Given the personalization, I think it wouldn't be easy to find a buyer. Happy to be wrong, of course.

Ford guys would like it, especially since it's a Mustang.

Isn't it a Mercury? That's what it says across top (although one letter is missing.)

It says Ford right across the top, and that's a 90s Mustang, so...?

Ah... Don't know the car model but apparently the company's name was "Superior Ford-Mercury." Some of the paint is missing.

    Like Ford-Mercury was like Chrysler-Plymouth

The "stained glass" paint would have texture and the "lead" areas a bump.
I, too, think it looks like stained glass paint, not a real stained glass item.
If the front has texture/bumps, and the back is smooth glass, it's definitely stained glass paint.
    Faux stained glass:

That's not a Mustang...Looks more like the remodeled Thunderbird to me.
