Anyone good at dating a pocket watch? Pic heavy

    I’ve done digging and from what I can tell, the case is after 1924 because it is not warranted. I am thinking it is white gold filled. What say you? I don’t know how to research the Elgin though.
    Any help is very much appreciated

    Update: I found an elgin numbers page. I plugged in the inside serial number and voila! Woot woot

    1927 case size 12s 7 jewels (although I don’t see any?!?!?) grade 303

    The jewels are used in the movement. The higher the number, the better the watch is mechanically. Most better watches are 17 jewels and up to 21 usually. A 12s is a woman’s watch. Men’s are 16 or 18 size.
