I think this vase is either a very cheap 1970s knockoff or a very cheap 1920s export vase. It looks like a blind kung fu apprentice applied the color glaze as it is woeful. It's got a mark on the bottom that I'm curious about and wonder if anyone has seen it before. I must fess up here and admit I did actually google "madeilny china" at one stage.

    Cheers

    Hello Stephen,

Not perfect, but it does have a certain charm.

Zhongguo Zhi Zao - China Made. This manner of writing dates on the whole to the period of the Cultural Revolution, meaning from around the late 1960s and later. The enamels sees to correspond to what we recognize as those used in Macao. Date tentatively from mid 20th century and later.

Yours also looks like Macao style.
