Anyone know anything more about this porcelain figure?

Just found this old porcelain figure which originates from Czechoslovakia. According to the seller it's quite a rarity, but we got it for 30 bucks so I don't know...

Does anyone know anything about these kind of figurines? Are they really rarities, do they have a special history behind them, is there any interesting trivia about it at all that anyone can shed light on?

Is it just a figurine, or is it a humidor? Is the cap a lid?

 

Looks like a humidor , I wonder if hes some famous golfing figure from like the 20s ?

 

Just a figurine. The cap is a lid, yes.

 

If the cap is a lid, it's a jar, not a figurine. I'm guessing tobacco jar (humidor), esp. if there's a place for a sponge in the lid.

You would call it a figural humidor, and that's probably how you should search for similar to see what prices are like.
