Does anyone recognize this Maker's mark. I know there was a Wilmot in England but this looks more like an American Hallmark to me??? Any ideas? Thanks. 13z.jpg 13-40.jpg

The only Wilmot (by itself) on that page is way too early for this little evening bag (which looks from it's design to be 1920's or 30's.) Not to mention that the use of the term "sterling" on US made items does not generally (with the exception of Baltimore) date before the 1870's.

I just looked through the 1920's and 30's silver and jewelry marks books available online at Chicago Silver and did not find any Wilmot.

Yes - Thanks - I have done hours of research myself and still haven't found anything that makes sense! Oh well maybe I'll come across something by accident - Thanks All!
