    Hi,
I don’t know where to begin with these guys. Image search is being naughty and only giving me real birds other than one image that says they are possibly ivory and Chinese. The feet on that one actually had legs you could see, these are either squatting on legs or…

it’s so hard to tell what the material is They are kind of cool or cold to the touch, make a clanking noise when dropped (by mistake), I don’t see any schreger lines yet but then almost feel like some sort of plastic. Weird!!!

I think Rayo will tell you that the "duck" is a goose.

Wheeee - now that's a menagerie. They don't poop everwhere, don't eat much, and the cats leave them alone.

Unless it's a Muscovy then all bets are off - :D

They are so heavily carved it’s hard to see if there are any telltale signs of ivory or not I wish they are not since that means no sale. Ugh.

I agree, Japan, not Southeast Asia.
Often, when a country's craftspeople manufacture items in ivory, the 'downmarket' bone copies are made in the same country by other craftspeople. You see it in Japan and China, but also in India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and in Continental Europe.

Ok, ty. I was worried they would possibly be ivory and another piece for my box full of things that can’t be sold. Lol
