Anyone recognize this head vase and is this a nightcap?

Is she in her nightgown and nightcap? Any guesses as to who made her or who she is, if anyone. Thank you for the help. I've been unsuccessful finding one with this style hat on. Mid century beauty? TYIA

Well dern, I certainly did not pick up on that. Duh!! Maybe she doesn't want to wake up and scare her husband in the mornin'. It still looks like a night cap

 

I don't recognize anyone in particular .....& maybe that's a nightcap......

but if she's going to sleep ....like that......when she wakes up the eyelashes will be stuck to her forehead.....the lipstick will be all over the pillow and her cheeks, and the rouge will have smeared to the extent that her husband will likely mistake her for the JOKER.....& run screaming from the room !!!

No help really, but she is shown in The Encyclopedia of Head Vases by Kathleen Cole as 'No Mark' - too bad the mark on yours isn't clear.

 

I boogied to this song more than once ! Thanks,I hadnt thought of it in a while! Does anyone else think she has an Italian look to her? Maybe I just think that because Ive been immersed in italian ceramics since yesterday.

 

She is most likely a Japanese import from the 1940s/50s.

Many, but not all of the Japanese head vases were depictions of movie stars. If you can determine what movies were popular you might determine what dress she is wearing.
They took quite a bit of liberty with the depictions.

 

Looks like a mop hat (or mob cap, as already suggested) - they were still being worn for bedtime when I was a kid in the '60s, can also remember one as part of a Barbie or Francie nightie outfit. I didn't think about swimming cap I think the bow on top made me feel it was pajamas

 

Digging a little more I saw one like her and they remarked she could be Inarco

 

Inarco is the export company.
Like Enesco, Napco, Lefton etc.

Should add that none of them were actually makers of the products.
