Hello, I went through 50+ pages of four panel slag glass lamps on worthpoint (free trial) w/o any luck finding this one. Looks more in the style of Miller, than Bradley & Hubbard- but I am far from any expert on either. And no, cannot locate any signage.

This auction is invaluable, so take with a grain of salt, but they say B&H. From my experience, B&H is typically well marked.

Thank you- I saw that as well via a reverse image search.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

I'm NOT saying there is anything substantial inside where I've outlined, but it does (to ME) look like there 'COULD' be some lettering.....I'm pretty sure you don't want to touch the finish on the lamp, but this is more of just a thought by lightening, sharpening and enhancing that space......GREAT looking lamp!!!

Is the lamp base iron, pot metal, or bronze? Can we see the bottom? Looks like the sockets may have been changed based on those pull chains. If they have not been, can we see them? Either way, might be a good idea to see the lighting cluster.

Thanks for the replies. I will have to get out my loupe... actually the lamp is an hour away so I will report back later in the week. I think you might be right @verybrad re: the sockets. It's a bit of a hassle- but I am selling things from my Mom's house, but if I bring too much stuff to our place my spouse will have a fit. I actually had this up on eBay but ended the auction so I can provide more accurate inf. on it. Sadly, one of the panes had been repaired ages ago, but it didn't stop people from bidding on it.

I believe the base to be cast iron based on the weight but will give it closer inspection. While I certainly appreciate this lamp- I have seen it my whole life, which sort of means I haven't really looked at it much over the last several years, and it gives me a feeling of foreboding for some reason.

Yea, I know what you mean :dead:... but a couple people had question who hadn't bid yet in line with what was asked in this thread, but I'm sure one or two will be put off.

Here are some additional photos. Not sure if the chains are original or not, but the sockets do look to have some age- as far as my uneducated eye can see. I looked it over thoroughly and still cannot find any indication of who it was made by.

Definitely has an iron weight in the base. What is the rest made of? Looks like it could be plated iron. If so, this leans more toward Bradley and Hubbard than most other makers.
