I haven't seen these Fiesta-Style rings on any other Wild Rose chargers, any opinions on that? Wasn't even sure how to write it, so I hope "ringed edge" works. Also, what would you call this style floral painting - Reminds me of Arts & Crafts? I don't know when these were first made.

Mark indicates 1931, I believe... (14+27 and the D numbers check out about there)

    Thanks, @komokwa and @cxgirl

That's the first one I've seen where the flowers actually look similar. But that one also has more texture than mine. I love the ringed element.

They don't look like roses to me, at all! They look like poppies.

I found it along with this tray/dish

But that's more like rose foliage than poppy foliage, Scout.

I've never seen the ringed edge either, but I like it better than just a plain edge:)
They look like a wild rose to me, lots of them here

    I agree with you, @Bakersgma

California started highway and business landscaping with wild roses about 20-30 years ago. They're a fluffier breed than these and invariably white, and I didn't grow up with them.

Does anyone have an opinion on the painting style?

Clematis, people. Clematis. Original plate is, anyhow.

Sorry, the round one. Your tray is also probably camellias, but with slightly dodgier botany. ;)

Species rose. Never had my own garden or thought too much about flower classification... hence my general ignorance!

I grow a few of those. David Austin only died recently: responsible for reviving proper roses with smells.
