    most of her stuff seems to be marked usually MK. What about these? 771087_19943462_ScreenShot20210319at4.06.51AM.jpg 771087_67211314_B73AB2E974794AB1A6105D6873707390.jpeg 771087_83989955_A85D511700374625B62755094AA5A450.jpeg 771087_1947167_8ADA5651082B4FFF8E5DAA76DA8C87C6.jpeg 771087_16182882_425F2F81613B464797334043E8F20C65.jpeg 771087_48556355_62AF6C16C3F942C694354D754B90F8C3.jpeg 771087_46731689_50BE1807FD804ABC839383F41B36F890.jpeg 771087_57535418_7C6DEE5E3957489EBAE53C55D367ACB6.jpeg 771087_48083669_5E97F1FB71F34D91A3F06090850FF0B1.jpeg 771087_38876858_1FBFCECD8417410C9B5B320F94F9CEC6.jpeg

I researched Margit Kovacs for quite a while even making friends with a couple of sweet Hungarian ladies several years ago. I have never seen these figurines by her. There is another set of figurines with the same MC or MG Initials that were on Bukowskis Auctions that they claim are Margit Kovacs but they say they were dated 1975 and 1977. Since Magit Kovacs died in Budapest on 4 June 1977 I cannot believe they could be hers. Also, this is my opinion. There is a small Margit Kovacs gallery in Hungary that you might get better answers from.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Sweet figures that I honestly know NOTHING about! But I DID try to clarify the stamp on the bottom and make it more readable.....the only really clear word seems to be the larger word "HUNGARY"....but was able to enhance the others a bit....it 'might' help you a little, but not sure it's in English!! Bottom image has NOT been enhanced at all....just the top one I tried to clarify & contrast......

It helps a lot! that is wonderful work

I am pretty sure the middle word is "Budapest."

THe top word is "Meszaros.G" these figurines are by Geza Meszaros. Mid 1960s would be my guess. His stuff is not as expensive as Kovics but they are still nice.

Thanks everyone for the help. It did not take long

Knowing it was Hungarian the spelling seemed natural. There's a HUN chess player named Metzeros.

you did good on that photo though. I was staring at it for awhile but your photo made me see the "G" at the end.
