Are these spring-things older? Metal wall display (Creative Coop)

No huge value here, just curious.

This is a modern display (back label reads "Creative Co op, California"). I thought a friend who collects postcards might like it to display cards.

Anyway... was curious if these spring-things (approx 4-5") were actually older and repurposed or something. Thoughts?

 

If it's the same Creative Co-op that is sold by Wayfair then I'd guess it's not re-purposed but don't really know. It's cute rustic

 

The latest in music???? Are they each a differing tune?? Sorry....couldn't help it....not a clue!

Edit: Just noticed: Interesting that each one is numbered differently....#1 thru #4.....??????

 

My default guess would be the whole thing was newer based on the company (which I didn't know much about until I looked it up).

But wondered if in the beginning the company used actual older pieces or something. Seems like a lot of trouble to create these spring things, but maybe easier than finding many older ones. Since the numbers are conveniently 1-4, also suggests newer. There must be another version of this online somewhere. Additional thoughts also welcome!
