I don't think the pink/red ones are coral. I think they may be rhodochrosite. as for the other colors, I am not sure. Coral would be a lighter in weight then stone.

I don't know the answer but the many bright and varied colors make me lean toward these being dyed bone or composition of some kind. Look at who is selling them and the price too. Will the seller give you a money-back receipt if they are found to be other than natural coral? They could be white coral that's been dyed.

    They are not coral.
What stone or synthetic stone they are, I do not know.
I agree with spring, they are all dyed.

Look to me like mid 1980s dyed fossil stone 'twist-a-bead' strands, if so, should be about 36" long...

That's what I was thinking. I call these RDR - Random Dyed Rock. No coral in there. I've found tons of these all over the place; if they're going cheap, they're a great source of spacer beads when you have to restring something else. These are some coral necklaces I'll be listing soon. Two different colors. You can see the difference. DSCF0419 (800x786).jpg DSCF0420 (800x451).jpg

Very; if you see both up close there's a clear difference.

Evelyn I think your post might be confusing.
Refers to beads shown by Kingjoker.

Refers to the necklaces that you posted.

komokwa is referring to your pictures.

Your reply indicates yours are not coral.

Somewhere there is a misconnect - Or is it me?

Mine are most definitely coral, and yes branch coral - orange and angelskin. The OPs are dyed stone.

Maybe dyed howlite? You mostly see howlite dyed turquoise but I have seen dyed howlite beads in various colors.

Howlite is certainly possible. Maybe magnesite. Anything white and porous would probably do the job.

I'd say dyed fossil, too. I've had them in different colors, although mine were given a shiny surface, like these...
