I'm trying to get some info on a pair of identical armoires that belonged to my dad. They have a maker's mark in black ink that looks like an apostrophe with a dot next to it. They're panelized, with French writing on stickers indicating where each panel goes. Can't seem to upload the picture of a whole armoire because "the file is too big"
    Thanks for the suggestions.
Still can't seem to reduce the size of the full armoire pic, but here is one of the interior and a close up of a label on the inside of one of the door panels.

Thanks for the suggestions. Still can't seem to reduce the size of the full armoire photo down below the required 1mb. I'll keep working on it. I posted some other photos on the edited original post.

Finally figured out how to reduce it small enough! Google search indicates these armoires are baroque. With the French labels I would guess they're French, but the panelized construction is indicative of German furniture based on some of my research.

Google is often wrong, these are Art Nouveau, so ca 1900. My guess is Belgian, rather than French. Part of Belgium is French-speaking.
We see these wardrobes regularly here in the Netherlands, close to Belgium.
I agree, the lines are reminiscent of German Jugendstil wardrobes, but German furniture is generally heavier.

Thanks for the input! Anybody with a guess on the maker's mark? I understand there are data bases of these out there somewhere... Mark.png Mark.png
