Hello all! From my brief research, this appears to be an Armorial wax seal matrix proof in original box? Do you recognise the heraldry or can you read what has been written in pencil on the lid of the paper box? It is very faint, the pics are the best I'm going to get of the writing. I think it says, "Heather" at the top, then Colonel and a date of 21/8/24. Any info appreciated as this is definitely not in my wheelhouse. Thank you!

Interesting how many of these a Google Images search brings up. Is there a reason you photographed the lid at a slant and not from straight on? I don't see either "Heather" or "Colonel". To my eye, "found" is the second word. A rampant lion. Can you make out anything on the shield at all?

I photographed at that angle because it was the only angle that the writing appeared a bit clearer. It could be totally correct that those two words aren't Heather or Colonel, it's tricky for me to make out. Nothing on the shield, it's blank. Thanks!

Try this... It looks like "What Heather found..."

I see Heather, but not Colonel. Williamsburg?

The way the date is written is not American, and the 2s are British. So I think whoever wrote it is British.

    Wallram?
    Williams?

Agree not an American hand. The date is written in the day + month + year order.
