    Hello!

I would appreciate any information on this stunning crystal vase...unfortunately no markings..

Extremely heavy crystal, 10 1/2" in height, 8" in length, 5 1/2" in width

It may be Art Deco in style, but my guess is that it is Scandinavian sometime in the last 30 - 40 years.

Thank you for providing another picture. The side angle makes it difficult to see. Is it completely flat and highly polished? Or is there a polished pontil (a small round indented circle)?

Gorgeous. My guess is "80's" art deco. I think scandanavian as well.

The base does not have an obvious pontil scar. There is a slight circular ripple on glass base with a smooth polished surface.

The piece definitely has an 80's vibe to it.

    Thank you for your input:)

"Greta Garbo" style? What the heck is that?

Their description is hilarious...I laughed out loud reading it.

Holy Schmoly - I didn't look at the description:jawdrop: They took a few liberties with their wording. Did you see what they related it to?

Now seeing the frosted glass, I'm actually thinking Chinese import. I don't think Scandinavian would be frosted. Could be wrong of course.

It has a similar shape with a bonus of "Greta Garbo frosted wings"..

This vase has me stumped..it may well be a Chinese import...

I appreciate the expertise and input from you all:)

Has a sort of Orrefors look about it.

For those of you who are members of the Art Glass Collectors Group on Facebook a similar vase was just posted about an hour ago. The vase posted had an Amethyst body with crystal "wings." It has a wider opening at the top but otherwise it's pretty close. The only response to the query so far reads:

Last summer I bought one very similar but clear. I have looked for my pictures looks like I deleted them. It was great quality as yours appears to be, mine turned out to be Either Japanese or Chinese and maybe by Hineri glass of japan. It's an impressive piece of glass.

    Hope this helps!
