Hello! I found this pretty lamp today in my new honey hole. The yellow glass caught my eye first and then I noticed the frosted glass lady at the base. I can't seem to find this exact lamp (I'm sure I'm missing it somewhere). Any idea of possible maker or origin? I had thought Czech perhaps, but I don't really know- no markings that I can see. I usually take a base photo but it is a little top heavy so I didn't this time(there isn't anything on it though). I did remove the yellow shade but no markings there either. Any info appreciated, thanks!

IMHO, the shade doesn't look right for the base but both are beautiful!
I'm interested to see what others say. :)

I kind of agree. But the shade is beautiful. You did check the shade for a signature I'm sure. The lamp probably had a flame shade would be my guess.

Yes, I screwed the shade off but no sigs that I can see! Maybe it didn't start off life as a shade at all? or if it did, not on this lamp?

Ah yes, now that you mention it- it does look like a bit of a marriage!

The shade is more Art Nouveau than Art Deco.

    Beautiful-I'm also thinking it's a marriage btw Tiffany/Nouveau & later Deco.

I tried 'google lens' with your image (changed background), they had a good description of your lamp, but showed nothing that resembled it............ a GORGEOUS Lamp you have there!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful. I would have grabbed it, too.

I wouldn't be surprised if the shade fitter was an add-on, as well. The style and color(s) don't seem to fit the style of the base, IMO.

As noted above, the shade seems earlier, perhaps aurene ca 1910 give or take, with a deco base ca. 1920s-40s. Although it’s a marriage, the components are top drawer and look good together. Someone had a good eye for quality!

Mine too. A Vestal Virgin worshipping the eternal flame.
It is a beauty, even with this shade. But I would be tempted to find the eternal flame for this worshipping virgin.;)

Agree with the others that this is a marriage. Both the lamp and shade are quality but do not go together stylistically. Shade would not be Handel but could be Steuben or similar maker. Look on the shade's fitter flange for a mark. If the lamp had a shade at all, it was probably satin glass to match the base.

I would keep this too. While keeping it, you could look for a Flame Shade as bulldogs suggested and maybe even a shade fitter as sabre suggested. It could take years. Once you've found all that stuff, you could sell the shade for a pretty penny. I had 3 of those Aurene style shades to sell a few years back. In checking the net, I found that they are available new as replacement shades, which might be why it's not signed. People buy them anyway even if they're not old.
