    Hi!
Stumped on this. Unknown metal content. Maybe brass? 16” in length. Art Deco style?
Any ideas on age, maker, origin?
Keywords would be a help as well.
    Thank you so much

Brass, and Edwardian or early Art Deco. Vinegar is needed. ;)

A swish in white vinegar won't harm it. Just make sure it dries well.

Ok. I’m always worried about removing patina. My parents always taught me NEVER do it. My husband was new to us and in her booth at an outdoor market. He was bored and cleaned one of her native pieces. She had a coronary when she saw him but the minute he put it back in the case it sold!!! Literally, the lady asked for it as he was placing back in its spot. My mother had been trying g to sell it for years. You just never know

All you're doing with a quick sploosh is a gentle clean on this one. Silver is a slightly different ball game: I hate over cleaned silver but it does need the crud removed as well as any blackenig.
