Any ideas/positive identification about this sculpture please? It is certainly a period piece wich I also believe was produced in France. I have owned several similar items by the same maker, none of wich have been maker marked or signed: A charioteer with 2 horses, and a larger Roman soldier with a javelin-spear. They too have been produced from 'spelter-metal' & brass.

Single horse figurines (such as those shown) were produced by TEDD at their own foundry in Paris, however they always tend to be clearly signed with block capital letters and were produced as book-ends.

This example is relatively large and not at all common in this size. Its total length is 22 inches. The base is granite/marble.

Your wish is My command, Aquitaine :)) Here's some more pics. It was produced by Riedel (best known for their production of wine-glasses) during the 1930s. I've also added a photo with it displayed together with a few other Deco glass ladies in my collection...
