I bought this today at a thrift shop for $50.
A image search turned up the screenshot I took of exact(?) One on mutualart, but I'm not a member so I can't tell what it sold for.
Any thoughts on it? Is the gold lines in chain & bra/top & skirt bronze or brass?
    Is it from the 1920s - 1930s?
It says spelter, I always thought that was a cheap metal mix?

When I first saw it I thought it was a old trophy missing the cup at top - there is a hole where something was screwed onto that disk/top - any ideas?

As always I appreciate your help here!

I think the gold/bronze areas you’re seeing are remnants on a “bronzing” process. Bronzed metal/spelter was a good way to get a nice looking thing without the cost of solid brass. Like gold or silver plating but with a bronze finish. Nice piece. Maybe you can figure out a way to lamp it or find an old candle stick/candle holder piece that will bolt to it.

Beautiful piece! I would agree with @Marote that it is a lamp base. And, most probably, initially it supposed to be a pair, as a set. 30's I think.
Not sure, but like a thought, could the metal be blackened brass?
