Featured Art Glass Flowers Signed DJS

I found this art glass flower that is signed D J S. At first I thought it was a Murano flower, but the design wasn't quite right. So I went off searching for the elusive DJS. In searching for the artist, I kept rolling past a website named Glass DJ's Undefined Art. I came back to it out of frustration, because I couldn't find the signature elsewhere. It's clear to me now that the artist is David J Shanfeld, so if you run across this signature that's who it is.

His website is kind of mystical and dreamy in the "About." I hope his work grows in popularity, as this one catches your eye in size, color, and shape. As always, I appreciate your comments.

 

KSW. My house is slowly filling up with art glass, because I don't sell. Yesterday, I parted with a bunch of pieces of lesser love by donating them back to make room for my new pretties. I will keep this one, as it is quite spectacular.

Thank you. I have had it for several days on the table where I do my research and have become quite fond of it, as I looked for the artist. At first, I wasn't sure of the blue stem, but then saw in it the artist's eye as a continuance of the flower's middle color rather than a literal representation. It's really quite big at 4 1/2 inches diameter so it makes quite a statement.

 

This means a lot coming from you, another art glass lover. His work is being mistaken for Murano pieces on a couple of sites. It has that thick luscious quality. Thank you.
