It was a bargain I think for a buck. A bookend maybe?
It shows plenty of wear on the bottom in the form of scratches. Those scratches can be seen reflected in other photos. The piece itself is unscathed, though the photos make it look bad. It's unsigned. To me it looks mid century, Murano maybe. It has good size to it standing 7 1/2" tall, with 4 1/2" base and weighing in at 7 lb. 4 oz. Any ideas as to a maker? Thanks.

Other than the bottom, is there a flat side?
    If not, maybe paperweight?

No, there isn't. Duh , I didn't even think about that. It's kind of big and heavy for a paperweight though isn't it? Maybe just a decorative display piece?

Seems to make the most sense. I’m sure others would have a better idea about “Where From?” :)

My 2 cents is that it is a piece that a person would put on a shelf as decoration. I guess it could be used as one bookend if it will support weight.
We had a different glass horse head (from racing days) that was put on a shelf along with other things.
I have no idea of age.
At first, I thought it was a fish.. better get my eyes checked. LOL

I looked through 2nd edition Glass Animals by Dick and Pat Spencer and your piece isn't shown in it. Lots of companies made them but none look like yours.
