This was on my dad’s desk and in the 70’s. It’s kinda funky, surprisingly it still works!

Try looking up Connie / Jim GRANT. They have done some beautiful work.

I believe this to be a Grant Randolph. He made this California style of paperweight. I have a later paperweight from the Grant Randolph Studio that that has a different signature, but this is similar to some of his other work. That being said, it could be another Grant entirely.

I think it’s Grant Rudolph as well.

Ok, I thought this signature looked so much like Connie and Jim Grants that I wasn't really looking at the whole picture. grant2.jpg

Are Grant Rudolph and Grant Randolph two different people, or a spelling error that has been perpetuated? And do you really think the artist would sign only his or her first name?

Its' mounted on a wooden box that has a light in it, the light still works.

I think ulilwitch has a point about the signature being almost the same. Although the style of glass is more like Randolph's, the signature doesn't come close.

Maybe there is another Grant out there.
