I agree with Laura, it is a factory painting, probably Chinese serial production, but signed with an English name. That means you will never find the painter, but that isn't important for the value.
I hope you will still enjoy it though.

Plus when you see a stapled canvas, usually a studio artist or factory....not always but more expensive works (or older) will be nailed.
