Artist ID help

Here's another painting I'd love to find an artist for.

I've searched the name Tom Shaffer but to no avail. Am I misreading that name?

it's nice though..... pleasing color scheme !!

 

I'm a sucker for a landscape with lots of blue in it.... might be a product of living in a rainy, grey place.

 

I like fall scenes.... with that explosion of color..!!
...comes from living with the maple trees , I guess !

Thanks @laura9797. I get a Northern vibe from this painting too: flat, lots of water, and probably ferocious mosquitoes.

The last name sort of looks like Shiller or Shiffer to me. I don't see an "a" in the last name. I found two artists, Tom Schiller and Tom Schiffer, neither of whom seems to be the right one. Plus, I don't see a letter "c" n the signature.

I'm not even positive that the first name is Tom, but it does look like it.

Also, looks like a date of 04/00 on it. Sort of obvious, but thought I'd mention it anyway.

I know a guy whose last name is Spollen. Try that as well.

 

I'd think that was a student piece.

Perhaps “Thompson” ??? I see an extremely familiar style in (google)”Bruce Thompson Art” thought I couldn’t find his signature on any in this format. I did find his signature on two other piece that were very different(a tad bit realistic) from each other so possibly his sig changed over time with style. Just throwing it out there.
