Featured Arts & Crafts Green Pottery Vase ID Help

Vase Measures 10" High, top 4.25" Diameter. It has lug handles.
Partial marking is E C Brown Pottery, Cincinnati.
Cincinnati Library sent me a 1929 newspaper ad
which stated he sold pottery from Weller, Roseville and other potteries all over the country. I have looked and looked, need some help.

Very nice glaze. The bottom doesn't look like any of the Ohio potteries I'm familiar with. Other than that I'm afraid I don't have much to offer.

I wonder if a specialized art pottery auctioneer like Humler & Nolan could identify this. Very neat piece. There were literally hundreds of small Ohio potteries about a 120 years ago. [edit for typo in name]

You could also try Treadway Galleries, another Cincinnati based expert in art pottery. Don't know how they respond to questions.

There is a raised number, maybe 5, down and to the left of mark which I noticed when I posted the pic.
I am going to try Facebook, and then Humbler and Nolan. I do live in the Greater Cincinnati Area..

 

I think this is probably from a Southern pottery. Maybe one of the Cole potteries?
