    Hi,
I'm trying to figure out who made the pottery part of this ashtray. It had 3 little felts circles on the bottom that I removed. The hallmarks are for Birmingham 1913 and I think the maker is Grinsell & Sons.
    Any information appreciated
    Thanks for looking

I thought of the Arts and Crafts movement when I saw this. Other than that, I'm not much help.

Thanks millcove! I thought maybe this was part of a smoking set?

Denby or Bourne or Langley, or the people who make tobacco jars, whose name has escaped me. In all honesty, it won't matter.
