Asian art help ID please.

Most definitely Egyptian, an artificially aged piece being an interpretation on an existing form.

I would say yes... It appears conveniently singed around just the outside edge, the image itself seem also conveniently missing the paint layers from 'around' the main points of interest in the picture.

Plus we know this to be only a segment of a larger image.

 

I would say though also, if it comes down to your valuation of an item, you should also see a professional, we here are best used to merely help you identify what an item represents or could be, not to authenticate items remotely. Few here may be actual professionals in their respective fields for this type of thing, but many others are just your average folk. I've seen some truly priceless pieces over time and some truly not so priceless pieces as well. Though it's not always so easy to tell nor so black and white, as in 'this one is real' and 'this one is not real'. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't.

I saw lots of these in the 80s. Would have to guess they are still being made.

 

The original image occurs on a gilt shrine from the tomb of Tutankhamun. It is said to depict Tut and Queen Ankhesenamun.
