Asian pottery any idea on origin or age of this piece?

    It is in the style of a Chinese Tang Dynasty horse and rider. More likely to be a reproduction rather than a genuine 7th - 10th century piece.

    colors are a bit too vibrant for that age?

    It looks quite similar to this example, which is described as a replica made in Luoyang:

    Note the same decorations on the harness, and the same colors used.

    Since they became collectible at the end of the 19th century, Tang ceramics have been reproduced, as is true with many types of Chinese ceramics.

    Looks not too bad to me, if repro, a good one and older IMO
