Asian silk paintings, any ideas on the signature?

    Pair of Asian silk paintings. The painted areas are roughly 15 1/2" x 11 3/4". Any ideas on the signatures? Chinese, Japanese?, other? Thanks for your time.:kiss:

    Possibly Japanese but they lack harmony.

    That's an interesting way of putting it :)

    Japanese, postwar, souvenirs, is what I'd bet. #1 is....disconcerting.

    #1 is....disconcerting.

    It's the wonky building. Just off enough to look wrong without being obvious just what is wrong.
