assistance identifying chinese character(s)

    Greets!

    I've boggled my mind attempting to discover what the characters are on two old pieces of china I own. I understand the characters I show may be sideways or upside down - and I apologize for this.

    Any ideas? I've tried matching the characters at Gotheborg.com but to no avail.. :(

    Have you tried Japanese marks over there? I get a Japan vibe from this.
