    Hello again!
I'm struggling to find proper descriptive terms for this rather Deco-esque geometrical type of cut flower, and what to call the "not wheat" foliage. It's a Heisey, 16" high, 9 3/8" wide heavy leaded glass. Belonged to my mother, I am guessing 1930-ish. Thanks for any assistance you can offer!

Not a brides basket. The engraving does not look like Heisey to me.

You are right, it's a common term, but the correct one would be a bonnet basket. The piece has the Heisey logo on the bottom. I'm looking for the descriptive names of this style of abstract flower and the foliage.

Beautiful Heisey Basket. Beautiful Brilliant Cutting, beyond the cutters at Heisey.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Is the flower supposed to be a rose?

I think you've nailed it, its' supposed to be a flower.

It's so abstract, it could be interpreted a peony, a dahlia or maybe a mum. I guess I am overthinking it.

Well done Tall Cakes, that is nearly identical. I'm assuming the blank was purchased from Heisey and cut by another company, after reading from two posters that the quality is not typical of Heisey's. Unfortunately, I don't have a subscription to WP to determine the worth , but it would probably not be useful anyway. eBay bidders don't seem to care what somebody else got for theirs! I just sold a brilliant cut banana bowl listing at $1200 for $375, after months on eBay. Still can not find any descriptive text on that flower rendering though.
