Hello - wondering if anyone can help me determine an approximate value for this item, and perhaps the best way to find a buyer? Auction house? Etsy?

I love it and it is in excellent condition but we have no space for it any longer and our small children are frequently plotting ways to attempt to climb it...

It was originally acquired in Connecticut just outside of Hartford.

Nice chair and appears to be legitimately 19th century. Probably circa 1880. Unfortunately, not much in favor these days and reproductions abound. People won't use them for children so use pretty much falls to doll display. Hard saying value. Here in my semi-rural Midwest location, even $100.00 might be pushing it. I think you might do better in or near a large city. A sale on fb marketplace or craigslist with local pick-up would be prudent if you don't want to ship. You might start a bit high and be willing to negotiate. You can always come down if there is no interest.

    What a pretty thing!
Of course, it's not usable (safely) and is therefore solely decor. IMHO, I'd expect to get no more than $100-$200 on a good day but I'm curious to see what the experts here will think as I may be way off. (I see lots of higher asking prices for similar, but sold prices are usually quite different. Ebay is a good indicator.)
The shipping cost would likely rival it's worth, and be a pain in the neck, so local sale/auction would be most practical.

(EDIT: Sniped by verybrad yet again!)
