    Hi all
I am a keen coin collector, silver/gold bug and urban treasure hunter (aka picker) I love to find pieces that reflect history and trade in them to further fund my continued accumulation of historical items for my collection.
recently I have been purchasing works of art applying my system of buying the seller not just the item.
by that I mean I buy items often that I don't know what they are because I like them and they come from a seller/estate that has other items that I know are good. Problem is I don't
always figure out what I have and I am hoping some of the members here can help me. I love what I do and have learnt so much doing this and hopefully I can help others at the same time. I'm going to take a deep dive into the site tonight and see what you guys have put up.

I actually live in Wait Awhile (WA)
being inner city i couldn't go gold prospecting so i decided to do the next best thing, inner city antiques prospecting ;)
i imagine that there would be more opportunities in an older suburb like in Sydney

There are still some bargains around, mostly at Auctions, but all the good car boots sales and swap meets have pretty much gone as the land has been resumed for residential development. Some garage sales are ok, but even they have dissolved into mostly household junk. Any fine old home contents command high prices through auctions and the days of driving into the country to an old estate and securing a wonderful bargain almost seem like a distant memory now.

Some good antique centres in Sydney, and 90 minutes to the Blue Mountains, keep my hopes alive so do small weekly bric-a-brac auctions. I think WA might be more fruitful. :)
