Background to small rug?

Does anyone have ideas about the age of this rug or where it may have been made? I got it on Ebay and it was listed as a Turkish Kilim rug. Do you think it's handmade? The image that's more striped is the back. Any thoughts would be welcome, thanks!

Sorry. There is really not much to go on. The design is extremely faded/unclear. From what I can see, it does not appear to be a traditional kilim technique, which is a flat weave similar to tapestry. The fringe looks like a cotton warp, and rather clean and tidy for something with any age, but the rest looks like it has been "ridden hard and put away wet". Is it a severely worn pile rug (woven with knotted tufts), perhaps with a new fringe added?

    How large is it?

Clear closeups of the front and back of a corner might be helpful in better determining the technique. Do you know what fibers have been used (cotton or wool)?

Thanks for your input. I've attached closer photos of a corner. It's small, 95 x 47cm. I'm not sure about the material.. it could be wool. IMG_4480.jpg IMG_4479.jpg

Thank you for the additional photos. Although it is still difficult to see the yarns in sufficient detail, what I can make out reminds me of a vintage chenille throw rug such as this:

This particular example should be described as "Southwest Style". It is not Native American made.

This is another rug misidentified as a kilim, that looks somewhat like yours:

Take a look at the detailed photos of these kilims, and compare the weaving structure with yours:
