Can anyone help with this makers mark?
I've searched on line but it's a bit hard when you don't know what to call it!
I tried a Google image search which came up with Christmas trees or tattoos depending on which way up is was.
Also checked out Gordon Langs book.
Thanks in advance for your ideas.

When it's in the Christmas tree orientation, I could see it as AAT, if that gets anywhere.

    I suspect JApanese.

Thanks OBB, I wondered if it might be oriental (there's certainly something Imari-like about some of the pattern on the top and round the sides), but couldn't find anything. I'll have another look on Gotheburg. Cheers

Well, you've got quite the decoration melange on that one. I would, like OBB, suspect Japanese or Southeast Asian...

It's those panels - the non floral ones. They look Japanese ish to my eye. So too the handle and shape.

Did you check gotheborg.com under Japanese marks. IMHO, this is a newer one, but might be worth a look.

Hi Kentworld, thanks, yes Gotheborg is the only really good site I know for this, but I did also google red Japanese makers marks. No luck unfortunately.
